Let Freedom Ring This July 4th!

These powerful words, spoken by Martin Luther King, Jr., in the shadow of the Washington Monument, still ring true this 4th of July!

So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire.
Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York.
Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania!
Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado!
Let freedom ring from the curvaceous peaks of California!
But not only that; let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia!
Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee!
Let freedom ring from every hill and every molehill of Mississippi.
From every mountainside, let freedom ring.

The Springtown Women's Study Group
will not meet on Monday, July 4.
Please join them on Monday, July 11,
from 11:30 am-1 pm for Bible study & prayer.

Pastor Edwin, associate pastor of the Gentry church and a friend to many Springtown members, is moving to Shreveport, LA, to continue his pastoral ministry at Shreveport South and the AR/LA youth department. We must regretfully say "goodbye" and show our appreciation for his selfless ministry to so many of us in Northwest Arkansas. All are invited.

Attention: Kids from 1st-8th Grade

Larry Overton and Pastor Tony Cash and a growing team of leaders are making plans for two new exciting programs for Springtown kids and their friends. Many of you know about these programs, but if they're new to you, here's a brief summary.
1) Adventurer Club for Kids in 1st-4th Grades -- This club provides fun and creative ways for kids to 1) develop a Christ-like character, 2) experience the joy and satisfaction of doing things well, 3) express their love for Jesus in a natural way, 4) learn good sportsmanship and strengthen their ability to get along with others, 5) discover their God-give abilities and know how to use them to benefit themselves and serve others, and 6) improve their understanding of what makes families strong.
2) Pathfinders Club for Kids in 5th-8th Grades -- Pathfinders is a worldwide organization of young people sponsored by the Adventist Church. Pathfinders offers a wide range of activities including (but not limited to): 1) Camping and camping skills, 2) Grade appropriate leadership training, 3) Activities promoting community pride and involvement through outreach activities, 4) Interactive training in a variety of recreational, artistic, nature, conservation, vocational and outreach areas, 5) Interactive and vibrant Bible-based learning.
