This Week . . . Abide!

Scripture for the coming week . . . "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples." John 15:5-8

A Colorful Service Opportunity

Planting Flowers for Flint Creek Residents

Larry Yeagley has arranged for Springtown to plant flowers outside the apartments of at least 10 Flint Creek apartments. The senior residents are excited about this beautification project. Now we just need volunteers -- couples, families, Adventurers, Pathfinders, etc. Here's how it works: 1) Call Larry Yeagley for your assignment. Call 479-220-9242 or visit with him at church. 2) Stop by and meet your new Flint Creek friend(s) to determine their needs, favorite flowers, etc. 3) Shop for the needed, flowers, dirt, fertilizer, mulch. You can turn in receipts for reimbursement from the Community Fund. 3) Set a time to plant the flowers. 4) You now have a new friend in the community. Stop by to check on their flowers and visit!
