Your Mom Always Told You to Share With Others . . .

That's Why We're Confident You'll Help Springtown Out!

With Springtown's Fall Round-Up fast approaching on September 26-27, we'd love for you to SHARE with your friends & family about this amazing weekend.
1) Social Media -- If you're on Facebook and haven't "liked" Springtown's FB site -- please do it right now. Then over the next several weeks, SHARE the Stand Firm postings about Fall Round-Up with your Facebook friends. With your help, we can reach hundreds -- even thousands -- of people that only you can reach!
2) Share Face-to-Face: If you're not on Facebook, we'll soon have have fliers about Round-Up. Take a few and share with family members, friends and co-workers that might enjoy messages about Standing Firm in the turbulent times in which we live.

Vegeburger Production

LADIES . . . Monday, August 18,
9 am

With a new "season" of the Women's Study Group about to begin, Springtown ladies will take one last informal week to make vegeburgers for Fall Round-Up. ALL ladies are invited to help and then stay for a vegeburger lunch (surprise) and study time from 11:30 am-1 pm.

Please Pray for Our Schools & Students!

OAS & OAA Start on Monday -- Here's How You Can Help:

1) Pray -- Please pray earnestly for Ozark Adventist School & Ozark Adventist Academy as they begin classes. Pray for the staff, teachers, students & parenets.
2) Change Buckets -- Keep dropping your loose change in your Change Buckets. The money goes to our Worthy Student Fund.
3) Get Involved -- Not sure how. Talk with D'Rae Krein (Springtown's OAS home and school rep) to see how you might volunteer. Attend a Skyhawks basketball game or follow news onwww.ozarkacademy.org.
4) Box Tops for Education -- Watch for those little Box Tops for Education symbols on food products in your home. Cut them out and bring them to church. Much needed funding will flow to OAS.

Midweek Refreshing

Wednesday, August 20, 7 pm

Our study of The Great Hope continues with chapter 8 entitled "In Defense of the Truth" (chapters 3, 25 & 26 in Great Controversy). Tonight, as I type this e-mail blast, the headlines are full of serious news -- in close-by Ferguson & far-away Iraq. We need hope. We need to be reminded how the story ends. Whether you've joined us before or not -- we'd love for you to join us this week!

Two Mission Trip Options to Consider

ARKLA Goes to Panama

Pastor Jeff Villegas, ARKLA youth director, will lead a November 19-December 1, 2014 mission trip to Panama. The trip will include the construction of a church, three evangelism meetings, medical/dental/eye clinics & a VBS for kids. There is a participation fee and a limited number of slots are available. Log onto www.arklayouth.org for details.

SW Union Goes to San Antonio

In advance of the summer 2015 GC session in San Antonio, the Southwestern Union is planning a huge medical outreach to that city. From April 8-10, 2015, FREE medical, dental & vision services will be offered to the underserved population. A wide range of medical and non-medical volunteers are needed. Log ontowww.bigcitybenevolence.org for details.

The Shelves are Filling Back Up!

THANK YOU to the many folks who are bringing sacks and boxes of non-perishable food to replenish Springtown's food pantry. Let's not grow weary in this task. If you haven't had the chance to help, please grab several more items at the grocery store this week and bring them to church next week.
