Make Jesus Your Friend in 2015

10-Week Series on Jesus as Your Friend Begins January 7, 7 pm

Children grow up singing "Jesus Loves Me" and we thrill to see them fall in love with their Savior. Perhaps as adults we need to learn "More About Jesus" ourselves. For that reason, Pastor Tony is leading out in this Bible-based series to help us see Jesus in a fresh light. Please grab your favorite Bible and join your Springtown family as we search the Scriptures for "More About Jesus."

A Quick Look at a Little Book on Prayer

Excerpts from Chapter 1
The Pocket Prayer

"It seems to me that the prayers of the Bible can be distilled into one. The result is a simple, easy-to-remember, pocket-size prayer: 'Father, you are good. I need help. Heal me and forgive me. They need help. Thank you. In Jesus' name, Amen.'"
"We speak. He listens. He speaks. We listen. This is prayer in its purest form. God changes his people through such moments."
"When we invite God into our world, he walks in. He brings a host of gifts: joy, patience, resilience. Anxieties come, but they don't stick. Fears surface and then depart."
"Prayer is simply a heartfelt conversation between God and his child."
