Our Challenge is to Know MORE ABOUT JESUS

Wednesday, January 14, 7 pm

Acts 2:1, in talking of the Day of Pentecost, says "they were all with one accord in one place." The devil loves to distract us, sidetrack us with "stuff" that really doesn't matter. What would happen in our church and community if we sought "More About Jesus" with one accord? We have that chance each Wednesday evening at 7 pm as we study about making Jesus our Friend. This week's lesson is called "Are You Born Again?" or "Keep Looking at Your Friend!" Please bring your favorite Bible and join the study.

An Invitation from the Women's Study Group

Mondays, 11:30 am-1 pm

You are invited to join the Women's Study Group for a time of Bible study, fellowship and prayer. If your work or life schedule allows, the Springtown ladies would love to have you join them this coming Monday. Lunch is provided.

OAS Joins Us in Worship Next Sabbath

Saturday, January 17:
Pastor Tony Teams with OAS Kids

Next Sabbath our church will be alive with even more youthful exuberance as students from Ozark Adventist School share their love of God during our Worship Service. Pastor Tony's sermon is entitled "Feed My Lambs."

A Twin Shower

Sabbath Lunch, January 17, at the TLC

We will celebrate our favorite Springtown twins -- Myah & Lilly -- with a special meal this coming Sabbath. The meal is hosted by friends and family to help Brian and Tonya Nash (the twins' adoptive parents) raise money for bunk beds (a money tree will be available/no other gifts needed). To help Grandpa Wes know how much to cook, PLEASE RSVP BY THURSDAY, JANUARY 15, by calling 479-233-9500. All invited to attend.

A Shower for One with a Twin Purpose!

Sunday, January 18, 6:30-8 pm

The Springtown Church is invited to celebrate another new life in our growing family! We'll have a come-and-go shower for Raychelle Goldman (Rosanna Hand's daughter) and her son Landon at the home of Lora & Travis Weygandt (21755 Davidson Road in Siloam Springs). Diapers are needed and there will be a money tree to help with the purchase of a double stroller. See you there!

Secret Mom Brunch

Sunday, January 18, 10-11:30 am

If you have been part of the adopt-a-daughter program for girls in the Ozark Adventist Academy dorm, there is a special brunch planned in the Youth Center for you. Your identity will be revealed and you'll get the chance to meet your "daughter" in person. Please bring a favorite brunch dish to share and a small gift for your girl. Thanks for supporting the OAA girls.

Attention Springtown Parents & Grandparents . . .

This evening is one the kids in your life will love. A chance to get (a little) messy and make their own loaf of homemade bread. What a wonderful event for your children to share with their school friends or kids in the neighborhood.

Our revised agenda is as follows: 1) election of new Steering Committee members, 2) update the church's view of the building project, and 3) pastor's presentation.

Some gems from Chapter 3 in Max Lucado's new book on prayer entitled "Before Amen."

"If God were only mighty, we would salute him. But since he is merciful and mighty, we can approach him."
"...if God is at once Father and Creator, holy--unlike us--and high above us, then we at any point are only a prayer away from help."
"Before you face the world, face your Father."
