Talk to Your Friend

This Wednesday, 7 pm, the next in our More About Jesus Series

Please grab your favorite Bible and head to Springtown this coming Wednesday evening for the next in our series on becoming a better friend with Jesus. This week's topic is "What is Prayer?" or "Talk to Your Friend." We'll spend an engaging hour in prayer, Bible reading and lively discussion. We would be blessed by your presence.

If you remember last year's "Spring Fling" with the great food and laughs a-plenty -- we're going to do it again. This time it's a Valentine's event for the entire church. You don't need a date, but we recommend bringing your wife! Young and old will enjoy the fun. There will be babysitting for the younger kids.

Breadmake Thanks!

To Volunteers & Parents . . .

The church was alive with laughter Saturday night as kids made homemade bread. Thank you to an extraordinary group of volunteers that pulled the event of without a hitch. And thanks to the parents & grandparents that brought kids. Want to see pictures? Check out the Springtown Seventh-day Adventist Church site on Facebook.

Forgive Me

A few quotes from Max Lucado's book "Before Amen."

"Guilt alerts us to the discrepancies between what we are and what God desires. It stirs repentance and renewal."
"God uses the sinless to carry away the sins of the guilty."
"Confession is not a punishment for sin; it is an isolation of sin so it can be exposed and extracted."
"We live in a guilt-laden world. But there is a population of people who have discovered the grace of God. They don't drink their guilt away, work it away, or chase it away.  They give it away. God wants you to be among them."
