Fall Round-Up is October 1-3

A Few Items to Note as Round-Up Approaches

1) Vegeburger Production: Monday, October 14, 9 am in the Springtown kitchen. Ladies, lots of help will make this chore go quickly.
2) Handout Cards: Pick up a handful from the tables at church. Easy size to share with friends, family, neighbors & co-workers.
3) Share Facebook Posts: Every time you see a Fall Round-Up post from Springtown, SHARE it with your Facebook friends. More and more of you are doing that and hundreds of folks are seeing the new on Round-Up. If dozens SHARE these posts, THOUSANDS will see the information.
4) Main Work Bee: While the tent may go up earlier and some early mowing may take place, the MAIN WORK BEE for Round-Up will be Sunday, September 27. With a big crew, this project is both fun and quick. Please mark your calendar.
5) Chili Cook-Off: A new Friday supper event. SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS!

Kings Heralds at Round-Up

Nation's Oldest Gospel Quartet

The Kings Heralds, a male quartet with deep roots in the Adventist church and now the oldest male gospel quartet in America, will be our musical guests on Friday evening and all-day Sabbath. Many have grown up hearing this beloved group that now features Jeff Pearles as bass. Jeff is the son of Joe Pearles and former bass with Palmetto State Quartet -- a long-time favorite at our camp meetings.

Stenbakken Brings Miracles of Jesus to Life

Master of 1st Person Characterizations

Dick Stenbakken, retired pastor and long-time military chaplain, will bring Biblical characters to life through first person narrations. Dressed like the character he is playing, Stenbakken becomes that person during his presentation and you actually hear the leper or blind man describe how Jesus touched their life. His presentations on Thursday, Friday & Saturday night and for Sabbath Church will be great for folks of all ages. A wonderful series of presentations to share with friends and neighbors.

Midweek = Galatians 4

Wednesday, September 9, 7-8 pm

Our study chapter for this week's Midweek Study is Galatians 4. Grab your Bible, iPad or Smartphone and spend time reading in several versions to grasp the full meaning of the chapter. Please join us for the study!

ATTENTION GENTLEMEN . . . We're introducing a Chili Cook-Off for Friday's supper at Fall Round-Up. We need every able-bodied guy that likes to cook to crank up a batch of your favorite chili. There will be judging, but in addition, we'll feed our Springtown family and guests with the bounty of your kitchens! We need lots of cooks. Start planning today!

Women's Study Group

Monday, September 14, 11:30 am-1 pm

ATTENTION LADIES . . . After a "summer vacation," the ladies of the church are beginning a new study series entitled "Walking the Walk You Talk." If your schedule allows, the Springtown ladies would be honored to have you join them for this weekly study. Lunch is provided!

2nd Sabbath Picnic Potluck

BIG Meal with OAA Girls

Second Sabbath is this coming weekend (September 12) and we'll be sharing a picnic-style potluck with the young ladies from Ozark Adventist Academy. They will be on Springtown's campus for their weekend "campout" and we'll be joining them for a picnic in our pavilion. So bring easy picnic-style food -- salads, veggies, etc. The church will be putting out sandwich fare left over from the campout. Next Sabbath's forecast (as of Monday) is a few clouds and 74 degrees. Come join the food, fun & fellowship.

Let's Move Help Needed

Community Event: Sunday, September 20

We need your help! Area Seventh-day Adventist churches will be hosting “Let’s Move Day” at the Bob Henry Park in Siloam Springs (near the Library). We need teams to sponsor (design, equip & staff) an activity booth that kids can stop at and DO something fun. Here are a few suggestions: walking on stilts, limbo, walking on cans w/rope, ring toss, jump rope, frisbee throw, bean bag toss game, etc. Find a creative way for kids to run, jump, throw, stretch, balance and have fun outside. Contact Kent Barnes at 479-381-3841 or kbarnesfamily@yahoo.com
